How much electricity can be generated from 1 cubic metre of water assuming a vertical delivery pipe and a fall of at least ten metres.

Greetings!

In the context of micro-hydro electricity generation, approximately how much electricity can be generated from 1 cubic metre of water assuming a vertical delivery pipe and a fall of at least ten metres. Presumably, the power is proportional to the height from which the water is delivered, in which case it would be helpful to also have figures for a cu. m. falling from 20 metres and 30 metres. I assume that the preferred method of electricity generation would be a Pelton turbine of appropriate size? The purpose of my enquiry is to establish the power potential of 600 cu.m. from given heights and thus the economic viability of pursuing this approach in a given context. The potential beneficiaries are poor people living in social housing and the environment in broader terms, The objective is to optimise the economic and environmental utilisation of built structures.
