Designs for girl-friendly toilets, including MHM (Menstrual Hygiene
Management) and incinerator?
We, Regional Technical Advisors, are looking for examples and designs for for girl friendly toilets, including MHM (Menstrual Hygiene Management) and incinerator. We have the MHM Manual, of course but are trying to develop these further.
Pakistan's Technical Advisor Naveed has shared the attached design and noted:
"Please find attached a guideline brief for girls friendly toilet I made for the field staff who are engaged in construction of the girls’ friendly toilets in schools. It includes sanitary material storage & washing area, incinerator, toilet and cloth drying area. I am working to update the drawing and text meanwhile you can use this one"
Has anybody got other designs, or has anybody got comments or ideas to improved the attached one?

Dear Remi, Can you attach the WEDC factsheet once more?
Here is a description of a Plan International (Ghana) pilot project in 2006 to develop a a model ‘girl-friendly latrine’: https://www.ircwash.org/resources/girl-friendly-toilets-schoolgirls-helping-adolescent-girls
In the same period IRC and UNICEF published a booklet called "Child-friendly hygiene and sanitation facilities in schools": https://www.ircwash.org/resources/child-friendly-hygiene-and-sanitation-facilities-schools-indispensible-effective-hygiene
Both documents include design guidelines rather than detailed technical designs.
Thanks guys for the responses here. This is great!
