Practical Action Sudan was working on this a few years ago which developed a small harvesting tool. My Colleague Sara Eltigani Elsharif has sent some information in the links below. The tool used is a simple rod device that is used manually. A description of which is in the documents along with details about cultivation and harvesting hibiscus.
