Revision history [back]
If I can just add - you need to define clearly what it is you want to achieve - is it mapping coverage of whole communities or mapping individual toilets. And then how will the data be collected, and who is this for, for WaterAid's own use or is this for a sector performance monitoring tool?
The Sanitation Mapper is just that, a spreadsheet based mapping tool to visualize the the data. How we get the data into the spreadsheet is another issue altogether. In WaterAid we are beginning to standardise our tool for mobile data collection to be mWater and in future we are planning to transition some of the mapping functionality of the water and sanitation spreadsheet mappers over into this platform. If you would like to know more about this, talk to Arjen from your Regional team or Petri in PSU
